CITV Share a Story 2D animation

This animation was created as part of CITV's Share a Story creative writing and drawing competition where kids are invited to send in their stories with the winning entries turned into an animation.

The photo below shows the panel tasked with judging the entries: Chris Randall (Second Home Studios), Dave Beeson (Bottletop Design), Frank Mansfield (CITV Animator/Designer), Jardine Sage (CITV Animator/Designer). Fettle Animation's Kath Shackleton was also part of the panel for 3 years.

Tyler Neal was the winner of the 2014 competition and got the chance to bring his animation to life.

Tyler came up with the idea of a young footballer who loses his magic football. Tyler was invited into CITV where he met with Carl Hadley and recorded his voiceover with voice actor Marc Silk (Marc is also the voice of Scooby Doo!).

Fettle then took Tyler's voiceover audio and created the animation to match, resulting in the finished product!

The dog Zane met on holiday

Fettle Animation's Director Zane Whittingham is a keen football fan and really enjoyed putting his own experience into this project. He caricatured some of his daughter's football team friends in this animation and based the dog on one he met on holiday.

This animation won a Kidscreen Award in 2015 for Best Interstitial Campaign.
