Fettle Finalists for TWO British Animation Awards!

Gosh we had a lovely time at the British Animation Awards!

We were finalists for TWO British Animation Awards.

We went to the BFI on London’s Southbank on March 10th, for a night of celebration of the great and the good in British Animation. It was their 20th anniversary, so promised to be the best one yet!

Fettle Nominated for Two British Animation Awards

We’re thrilled to have been nominated for not one, but TWO awards!

The competition was fierce, so unfortunately we didn’t win this time – hats of to the winners for their excellent work!

Our music video Smalltown Boy has toured cinemas around the country as part of Programme 1 of the Public Choice Awards.  We made it with Director Sameer Patel, Heavyball and Magnetic North Melodies. The winning film was Benjamin Scheuer’s Weather the Storm, directed by the wonderful Peter Baynton.

Our animated documentary series for BBC Learning Children of the Holocaust is also a finalist in the Long Form category, alongside completely different types of work – Shaun the Sheep the Movie by Aardman Animations and Stick Man by Magic Light Pictures.  What awesome company – happy just to BE there!  And the winner was – Shaun the Sheep!  Of course – one of our very favourites!!!

We caught up with lots of old friends, made some new ones, saw truly inspirational work and had some fun afterwards!

Fettle fun at the British Animation Awards

Congratulations to all of the organisers and nominees for a lovely evening!
